Authentic Paella and Tapas Dinner (Seafood, Meat and Vegetable or Vegetarian)
This is your chance to have one of the best possible Spanish Paella dinners in Barcelona. Your Private Chef will prepare a luxurious Paella using only local top quality ingredients sourced in the local markets in Barcelona. As well, you and your group get to enjoy freshly prepared Sangria with red or white wine (special non-alcoholic sangria for children is available as well). While you are waiting for your Paella to finish you also get to sample a few local tapas including “Pimientos del Padron” and cooked chistorra sausage. Finally for dessert you get to sample a local Catalan specialty of “Mel I Mato” a creamy fresh cheese topped with walnuts honey and fresh seasonal fruit.

We know some travelers like to choose their own wines and snacks before dinner so we have made things simple for you. Spanish Tapas Experience
Spanish Tapas are one of the reasons people keep returning to Spain again and again, they love the rich flavors and simplicity of enjoying a dinner with plenty of variety. Your private Chef will prepare a mix of cold and freshly cooked Spanish Tapas for you to enjoy in your apartment. As well, we will be preparing you some fresh sangria and a traditional Catalan specialty of “Mel i Mato” a creamy fresh cheese topped with walnuts honey and fresh seasonal fruit. We will always try to accommodate allergies and preferences so the suggested menu you see here can be adjusted to your taste.

Learn how to make authentic Spanish Paella hands on in this Paella Making Class in your apartment. In this class your Chef will teach you all of the most important steps and tricks to make an amazing Seafood Paella. As well you get to make tasty Sangria and also a typical Catalan dessert of Crema Catalana. Your chef will bring only the finest local ingredients from local markets to make sure that you have one of the best Paellas you will ever try. As well, if you wish you can also take a local market tour and taste some local delicacies while you pick up a few ingredients for your Paella!

In this class your Chef will teach you all of the most important steps and tricks to make an amazing Seafood Paella as well as cooking up some delicious Tapas that will take you on a journey of Spain through local food culture. As well you get to make tasty Sangria and also a typical Catalan dessert of Crema Catalana. Your chef will bring only the finest local ingredients from local markets to make sure that you have one of the best Paellas you will ever try. As well, if you wish you can also take a local market tour and taste some local delicacies while you pick up a few ingredients for your Paella!

-Esquixada – catalan style salt cod salad with fresh local Montserrat tomatoes, black olives, red and green pepper and onion.

-Botifarra esparracada – local fresh pork sausage cooked in the Pyranees style with onion, wild mushrooms, pine nuts.
-Paella de marisco – the typical spanish rice dish made with a variety of seafood and shellfish

-Pan con tomate – catalan style bread rubbed with local “hanging tomatoes” and olive oil
-Mussels in vinagrette – mussels served chilled with a specisl vinagrette with red and green pepper and onion and parsley.
-Gambas al ajillo – the spanish classic of garlic fried prawns with a touch of spicy paprika
-Tomato and ventresca (tuna belly) salad with local montserrat tomatoes, black olive paste and spring onion shavings
Mains:
-Calamares encebollados – fresh Mediterranean squid cooked in poached onion and bay leaf sauce made with special cooking wine “vi ranci”
-Suquet – a typical fisherman’s dish all along the mediterranean coast made with a light tomato sauce base with leeks, garlic , almonds and fried bread. This dish brings together the delicate flavors of fresh monkfish, scampi into a real seafood delight.

-Rollito de cecina – a small roll of cured beef wrapped around a mix of cabrales blue cheese and cream cheese and walnuts finished off with olive oil and a pedro ximenez sherry reduction
-Basque country pinchos – small oieces of bread decorated with tasty bites like xistorra sausage, padron peppers, oyster mushrooms with spanish ham and steak and pedro ximenez reduction
